Noble Funk Brewing Company

922 S Second Street, Louisville, KY 40203 | noblefunk.com | $$

“We are constantly striving to learn and experience more in all walks of life. Noble Funk Brewing Company isn’t just a brewery with great people, engaging conversation, and unique pizza selections. It’s a way of life that invigorates, motivates and educates about all things beer — A tasty mix that ensures you always walk away with more on every level.”
— Noble Funk Brewing Company

Did you know that Morgan planned a wedding here in Fall 2023?! Morgan first discovered Noble Funk through her clients and now it’s become one of her favorites for date night, with friends, or with the kids. Their interactive atmosphere makes it the perfect place any time of year. She loves starting off with a 502 Brew, ordering the Hot Marinara appetizer and rounding her meal out with the Date Night Pizza.

Repeal

101 W Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202 | repeallouisville.com | $$$

“Raise a glass to authenticity at Repeal, Whiskey Row’s only oak-fired steakhouse. Housed in the former site of J.T.S. Brown and Sons’ wholesale warehouse and bottling operations, it’s where the family welled up with pride as their labels became staples in barrooms all over the country. It’s where they fought back tears as Prohibition took everything away. It’s where they soldiered on towards Repeal. This is why we reclaim history by preparing steaks over the flames of oak-aged barrels. This is the place for those with a taste for experience.”
— Repeal

Hannah’s boyfriend used to work at Hotel Distil, where this restaurant is located, so she was the first of our group to give it a try! She loved it so much that we all have it on our date night lists now. Hannah says you have to order the Baked Crab Cake, Little Gem Caesar, and the Truffled Bucatini. She has also tried the Whipped Yukon Gold Potatoes and can attest that they’re delicious!

The Village Anchor

11507 Park Road, Louisville, KY 40223 | villageanchor.com | $$$

“The Village Anchor offers a much-needed and unique setting in Louisville’s east end, both for personal and professional occasions. The restaurant’s look and feel are like none other in Louisville and, arguably, Kentucky. The Village Anchor Restaurant and Anchor Bar on the main floor bring together stone, red leathers, rich worn velvets, wrought iron, dark woods, Italian appointments, Carrera marble, and the original crimson red beer taps from Churchill Down’s Silks Bar. It offers an upscale-casual, fun environment with an inimitable European flavor and exotic French flair.”
— The Village Anchor

If you live in the East End, this may just be the perfect spot for you. Nestled in the heart of Anchorage, The Village Anchor has the perfect date night atmosphere. The tables are intimate and feel very cozy next to the fireplace. This is also a great spot for special occasions – Diana has celebrated a birthday or two here, as well as some anniversaries. Some of her favorite dishes are Green Chili Wontons, Croquettes de Jamon, Sweet Potato Fries, Salmon Fillet (don’t skip the risotto – so good!), and the Fried Goat Cheese Salad.

Mesh

3608 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY 40207 | meshrestaurants.com/#loc4 | $$$

“Mesh blends contemporary elegance and comfort with innovative cuisine and excellent service. The original menu and unique decor make Mesh an ideal setting for business meetings, romantic evenings, or a night out with friends. A meal at Mesh is one you won’t soon forget and value you won’t believe.”
— Mesh

Mesh is another common place for our corporate clients who wish for private dining space, as well as a common choice for our wedding clients’ rehearsal dinners. Diana loves Mesh for date night and recommends ordering their 8oz Filet – the crispy brussel sprouts are to die for!

River House Restaurant and Raw Bar

3015 River Road, Louisville, KY 40207 | riverhouselouisville.com | $$$

“Louisville’s Premier Riverfront Dining Destination. Regional Cuisine with a Southern Flair. Featuring Fresh Seafood Daily.”
— River House Restaurant and Raw Bar

River House is a crowd favorite amongst us and one of our most commonly recommended restaurants! Hannah’s perfect evening includes a delicious Strawberry Basil Lemon Drop Martini, Baby Greens Salad, and the Seared Scallops with Grits and Succotash (pro tip: ask for the scallops blackened). Diana loves going to River House year-round, but her favorite time to dine is when the weather’s warm so she can sit on their large patio. Not a fan of hot weather? They also have fire pits available on their covered patio so you can cozy up and still get a nice view of the Ohio River.

Grassa Gramma

2210 Holiday Manor Center, Louisville, KY 40222 | grassagramma.com | $$

“Grassa Gramma is a love letter that celebrates Nonna’s status in her kitchen, and honors her unwavering commitment to family, food, and friends. Grassa Gramma’s menus exist as devotion and not revisionism. Born of authenticity and driven by ingenuity, they reflect both northern and southern Italian heritages; thoughtful of local traditions and regional nuances. Under the direction of decorated chef Ragen Daly, Grassa Gramma’s cuisine is composed of the best ingredients that can be sourced. If it’s fish, it’s wild. If it’s game or meat, it’s organic or prime. Produce comes from actual farmers; not simply farms. It is local, when possible, and always selected for seasonal optimization. Grassa Gramma’s chefs proudly go beyond their kitchens to participate in the guest experience. They arrive early and they stay late to honor their commitment to delivering the most authentic Italian dishes in our region.”
— Grassa Gramma

Hannah is obsessed with this one! She recommends starting off with the Lump Crack Cakes appetizer and Italian Chopped Salad, and following it all with the Cacio E Pepe. She claims there is nothing better in the world 😉

VINCENZo’s

150 S Fifth Street, Louisville, KY 40202 | vincenzositalianrestaurant.com | $$$

“VINCENZo’s represents Agostino and Vincenzo’s personal dreams for a place of hospitality where our friends, old and new, can come to enjoy a truly special evening. Whether you join us for a simple meal or a multi-course culinary tour of our offerings, your comfort and dining pleasures are the reasons we are here. To realize this dream, we have assembled a highly skilled kitchen and dining room staff to serve your every need. We strive to create an atmosphere in the restaurant itself that is both elegant and relaxed. Our menu reflects our European heritage and training. In addition to continental classics, we offer our original Eurospa cuisine in answer to a growing preference among our guests for lighter fare. Whether you choose to indulge your palate with traditional offerings, with our exclusive Eurospa selections or honor us with the personal selection of your meal, you will always be a guest in our home.”
— VINCENZo's

Can you tell we love Italian food around here? Giavanna and Diana can both vouch for the Three Cheese Ravioli – it’s not your typical red sauce ravioli but their creamy sauce makes the dish incredible. Giavanna loves pairing her ravioli with a fruity martini, while Diana goes for a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc. If you have a sweet tooth, Morgan can majorly vouch for their cannoli so be sure to place an order to round out your delicious meal.

North of Bourbon

935 Goss Avenue, Louisville, KY 40217 | northofbourbon.com | $$

“North of Bourbon blends Bourbon, Louisville, and New Orleans into a unique Southern experience. Mixology is our specialty. We have over 26 cocktails, a mix of signature drinks, bourbon classics + non-bourbon sippers. Our menu is inspired by our Chef and the owners’ Louisiana and Mississippi roots mixed with other classic southern dishes. With over 300 different bourbon selections pick your flavor or we would be happy to make a suggestion.”
— North of Bourbon

Morgan loves this place! Morgan’s Cajun family ties paired with her KY roots make this the perfect combination in her eyes. Her and her husband stumbled on this place one night and have been dreaming of a return ever since. The place is on the smaller side with seating, so be sure to get a reservation. But even if you end up at the bar, be sure to try the Let’s go Bananas Old Fashioned, Pork Boudin Balls, & the Chicken & Sausage File Gumbo.
